Courtney's Chaos: Rush to Save the World is a 3D platformer video game based on the animated children's television series Courtney's Chaos. It released on May 4th, 2018 to coincide with the premiere of the show's third season.

Plot[]

Courtney embarks on a journey to save the world from a team of the most powerful threats she's faced in her self-titled TV series! For more details, read Courtney's Chaos: Rush to Save the World/Transcript.

Gameplay[]

In this game, players take control of Courtney Chaotic, the main protagonist of Courtney's Chaos. The main goal of the game is to reach the end of each level. Courtney has a jump, a double jump, and has a homing attack, where by pressing the homing button, Courtney will launch towards whatever's being targeted, as indicated by a lock-on cursor on screen. When there are multiple targets on screen, players can freely switch to any of them. Courtney also has a cannon. When 10 enemies are defeated, as indicated by Courtney's icon glowing, Courtney can fire the cannon, which will cause cannon balls to hit and defeat all Robo-Works within a certain radius of the attack's usage. Defeating enemies this way doesn't help fuel the attack for another use. Courtney has 3 hearts, when all 3 are broken she loses a life, after all lives are lost she gets a game-over and has to restart the level from the beginning. At the start of the game and after every game over she starts with 3 lives.

Power Ups[]

The game has 4 power-ups Courtney can use which can give her special abilities, the first time a power-up is used, a cutscene is played showing Courtney transforming into her powered-up state followed by a tutorial on it's abilities and how to use them, every time after this, the cutscene and tutorial are skipped and the transformation is instant. The player can switch between Courtney's powered-up state and her regular form with just a button press.

  • Fire Courtney: Can shoot fireballs that can defeat Robo-Works, melt ice objects, or weaken Ice Robo-Works.
  • Ice Courtney: Can shoot ice beams that can defeat Robo-Works, freeze lava objects, or weaken Fire Robo- Works.
  • Magnet Courtney: Some levels have magnetized platforms that can go top, bottom, left, or right. After double jumping, Courtney will stick to and can move on these platforms, and can jump off them by double jumping when there's solid ground on the opposite direction of the platform.
  • Indiana Courtney: Can take out a whip to hang onto tree branches and swing to other platforms
