Disney's Happily Never After[]
Disney's Happily Never After is an adventure platforming video game developed and published by Disney Interactive for console. It is a remake/spiritual successor to the 1999 Disney Interactive CD-ROM game Disney's Villains' Revenge, but with major changes such as adding various other villains from Disney animated films instead of just the standard four. The game would have two playable characters. The female player character would be Mirabel Madrigal from Encanto, and the male player character would be Miguel Rivera from Coco.
Plot[]
Chapter 0: Encanto[]
"Legends are treasure objects. They teach how to avoid disaster, they show how to achieve your dreams and they let you repair your broken ties. But every legend started as a story. And a story can be rewritten."
When one Mirabel Madrigal is gifted a book simply entitled Encanto by a cloaked stranger, she is terrified to know it tells her fate---to be responsible for her family's loss of magic. Desperate to avoid her fate, she notices the book came with a pen of a strange black dark colour, and an urge tells her to grab it, beginning to use it to rewrite her own story, to make her not an outcast, to make sure she'd never cause these problems. And then the world started tearing itself apart. Mirabel was granted powerful magic abilities, alright, but at the cost of her fate being corrupted. Suddenly, a smaller figure appeared from nowhere, grabbing her as her world falls to darkness.
Waking up in a field near to boats, the cloaked figure who rescued her revealed himself to be a small mouse, armed with nothing but a wand. He tells her she was tricked into rewriting her story by someone who wants to ruin these stories, and now they've attacked every story. Mirabel falls despairingly with grief, only for Mickey to stop her tears. He gives her a chance to fix her mistake and save her home, using her new temporary Gift and her kindness and courage to stop the villains once and for all.
Later, Mirabel is joined by one Miguel Rivera, a survivor who's world was lost early, who chooses to aid Mirabel regardless of her mistakes with his newly enchanted guitar. Together, the two set off into the stories of Disney's past, future and present to stop the mysterious figure and their master once and for all.

Chapter 1-B: Puppetland, TM, Honest John.[]
Villain: Honest John
Changed Ending: Honest John tricked the Coachman into signing over Pleasure Island, allowing John to turn it into his own personal amusement park, complete with its star attraction: Pinnochio, turned into an unliving puppet.
Boss Fight:
- Phase 1: Mirabel/Miguel roams around a more run-down version of Pleasure Island, with a giant Coachman statue looming eerily in the background. Every so often, the statue's eyes open and scans the area. If Mirabel/Miguel is spotted by the statue, they get turned into a Donkey (complete with a jumpscare via the statue giving the Coachman's infamous smile), which is an instant game over. To avoid such a fate, Mirabel/Miguel has to hide behind parts of the terrain. Upon reaching the circus tent, the 2nd phase begins.
- Phase 2: Mirabel/Miguel chases John across the insides of a giant Monstro illusion. John lays down traps in an attempt to deter Mirabel/Miguel, such as bear traps to slow them down. Upon catching John, the 3rd and final phase begins.
- Phase 3: Mirabel/Miguel faces off against John inside a circus-like arena, with John having used Chernabog's magic to turn himself into a giant Jack-In-The Box. During this phase, John has 4 different attacks.
- John hoists Pinnochio onto the arena in front of Mirabel/Miguel, before summoning a random puppet to dance alongside him across the stage, damaging Mirabel/Miguel if they're caught by them. They can be avoided, however, by staying clear of the lines they'll project.
- John shuffles a deck of cards before laying them across the stage and disappearing behind a curtain. To make him reappear, Mirabel/Miguel must search the deck (done so by attacking the cards) to find a card with John's face on it, which forcefully summons John back to the stage, leaving him vulnerable and allowing Mirabel/Miguel to get a few hits in.
- John's hands lock onto Mirabel/Miguel, floating to there left and right, then clap together, crushing Mirabel/Miguel if there not quick or careful enough. Upon doing this attack, John turns around and plays for a cheering crowd, leaving him vulnerable.
- John leaps up from the background and onto the stage, trying to squash Mirabel/Miguel (shown by a targeting reticle appearing under them). While seemingly vulnerable, John will surprise Mirabel/Miguel with another attack, such as a spring-loaded boxing glove, a flower squirter that shoots water onto the stage and create a slipping hazard, or throwing a pie upwards that homes in on Mirabel/Miguel and does some good damage despite its slow speed, and obscuring part of the camera for a few moments if they miss.

Chapter 1-D: Preytopia[]
Villain: Bellwether
Changed Ending: Bellwether took control of Zootopia, and had most of the predators, including her former boss, under the effect of the Night Howlers. To enforce rule, Bellwether imposed martial law; if you're a predator, you either get affected with Night Howlers and become Bellwether's attack dog, or be treated like a second-class citizen. Protests are held everywhere to combat Bellwether's threats, and Bellwether's laws being enforced by a corrupt ZPD.
Boss Fight:
- Phase 1: Mirabel/Miguel starts off in an underground arena facing off against a Night Howler-influenced Nick Wilde, with Bellwether taunting them on nearby TV screens. Throughout this battle, Mirabel/Miguel cannot deal any sort of damage to Nick, so they must avoid his attacks, which including lunges, bites, and slashes with his claws, until a timer runs out, at which point Nick passes out and the 2nd phase begins.
- Phase 2: Mirabel/Miguel is pursued across the streets of Zootopia by the ZPD, led by a Howler-influenced Chief Bogo. Numerous obstacles block the path, such as police roadblocks, rabid predators and protestors. Hitting any of these obstacles will end up slowing Mirabel/Miguel down, making it easier for the ZPD to catch them. Upon reaching the City Hall, the 3rd and final phase begins.
- Phase 3: Mirabel/Miguel faces off against Bellwether outside City Hall, with Bellwether having used Chernabog's magic to turn herself into a Night Howler-powered mutant ram. During this phase, Bellwether has 4 different attacks.
- Bellwether spins around while spitting an acid version of the Night Howlers in a circle around herself, dealing continuous damage to Mirabel/Miguel if they touch it. The acid disappears after a few moments.
- Bellwether takes out an oversized gavel and slams it down, sending a small earthquake forward.
- Bellwether pulls out a heavy firearm and unleashes a barrage of her Night Howler darts across the stage. If Mirabel/Miguel is hit, their strength is amplified for a few moments, but at the cost of being more difficult to control.
- Bellwether channels all of her strength to deliver a massive ground pound onto Mirabel/Miguel. This will start a quick time event, where if you mash the button fast enough, Mirabel/Miguel will push Bellwether back, staggering her and leaving her vulnerable. If you fail the quick-time event, it's an instant game over.
Chapter 2-A: Slimtown Showdown[]
Villain: Alameda Slim
Changed Ending: Slim acquired every ounce of land he found, and sold off every herd to the highest bidder. As a result, he was able to become the West's first bandit turned billionaire. He soon 'modernized' the Old West, regardless of the inhabitants' thoughts and feelings, and turned it into his own private resort.
Boss Fight:
- Phase 1: To start this phase off, the player must mash buttons so that Mirabel/Miguel can resist Slim's yodelling. Upon doing so, a saloon brawl begins, with Slim hypnotizing nearby bandits and sending them to attack Mirabel/Miguel. Upon defeating a certain number of enemies, the 2nd phase begins.
- Phase 2: Mirabel/Miguel ends up in a dance battle with Slim, with the gameplay suddenly changing to that of a rhythm game, meaning the player has to press buttons in time with the music. Any correct button presses fill up the performance meter, while any incorrect button presses or wrong timings cause the meter to decrease. At the end of the minigame, Mirabel/Miguel advances to the final phase if the player achieves a score of 60 or above.
- Phase 3: Mirabel/Miguel faces off against Slim inside what's left of the saloon, with Slim having used Chernabog's magic to turn himself into a Minotaur-like creature. During this phase, Slim has 4 different attacks.
- Slim kicks up dust and snorts before charging head-first at Mirabel. If the player is fast enough, Mirabel/Miguel can move out of the way, causing Slim to crash into a wall and leave himself vulnerable to damage.
- Slim lets out a quick cough before giving out a roar, hypnotising Mirabel/Miguel if they are close enough. The attack has short range, however, so the player can use the time Slim spends coughing to get some adequate space and avoid the attack.
- With a simple stomp forward, Slim causes the entire stage to quake. If timed wronged or caught in the crosshairs in some way, Mirabel/Miguel will be blasted backwards.
- Slim takes out his revolvers and aims with them before firing a bolt of dark lightning at Mirabel/Miguel.

- Phase 2: Mirabel/Miguel runs across buildings in San Fransokyo to get to Mr. Krei's ceremony, avoiding Microbots that are trying to tear the buidings from under them. Mirabel/Miguel has a strict amount of time to reach the ceremony, and receives a game over if time runs out. Upon reaching the ceremony, the 3rd and final phase begins.
- Phase 3: Mirabel/Miguel faces off against Yokai, who uses his Microbots to form a giant mech, ironically resembling that of Baymax, on top of Krei Tech HQ. During this phase, Yokai has 4 different attacks.
- Yokai's mech opens its mouth and fires a beam of plasma from its mouth. This attack is guaranteed to do a lot of damage, but there is one chance of avoiding it. If damaged heavily enough and fast enough, the attack will send the mech staggering and cancel the attack.
- Yokai activates his mech's rocket jets and does a glide-dash across the stage, knocking Mirabel/Miguel down if they are hit.
- Yokai's mech punches the ground, sending out a wave of microbots that Mirabel/Miguel must avoid by jumping.
- Yokai's mech opens a hatch on its shoulder and shoots out up to three missiles, which home in on Mirabel/Miguel and explode after a few moments.

- Rourke turns one of his arms into a rocket launcher and fires a crystal from it that explodes upon contact with either Mirabel/Miguel or a part of the stage.

- Rourke forms a crystallised machine gun from his shoulders and fires a barrage of crystal bullets.
- Rourke does up to three swings with an axe, before leaping up and planting the axe into the ground, sending a wave of dark crystals forward. If Mirabel/Miguel is in range, mashing the right button at the right time allows them to parry the attack.

Boss Fight:
- Phase 1: Mirabel/Miguel faces off against a giant Oogie Boogie on one of his casino tables, with a board game placed in front of Mirabel/Miguel. During this stage, Oogie will throw out a die from his hands, which Mirabel/Miguel must hit in order to move on in the board game. The board game consists of fifteen spaces:
- Start: Where Mirabel/Miguel starts.
- Numbered Spaces: There are nine of these spaces, each of them having the mini-bosses numbered one through nine should the player land on them. When landing on a mini-boss space, Oogie winks before flies cover the camera, taking Mirabel/Miguel to a place where they will have to fight the mini-boss belonging to the space. If the player dies in any of the miniboss fights, then they will be forced to start over from the beginning of the board game.
- Safe: There are three of these spaces. Once you land on one of them, you will not have to fight any mini boss, and you will just get to roll again.
- Start Over: As the name suggests, you will have to start over to the beginning of the board game while Oogie laughs. Any miniboss that was previously fought must be fought again if the player lands on their space.
- Fin: The final space. Once you land on it, the fight with Oogie himself begins.
- Once Mirabel/Miguel lands on space 5, the second phase begins. The following bosses are fought during this phase

- Valentines: A witch dressed as Cupid. Attacks by firing 5 arrows at once.

- April Fools: A clown. Attacks by shuffling a deck of cards and laying them across the stage, leaving Mirabel/Miguel to match the cards to damage him, with a wrong pair leading to a jumpscare and loss of health.
- Easter: A demonic rabbit. Attacks by setting up Easter eggs which explode after a few moments, leaving a pit of fire behind that insta-kills Mirabel/Miguel if they fall into them.
- Phase 2: Same as the previous phase. Once Mirabel/Miguel lands on space 5, the third and final phase begins. The following bosses are fought during this phase
- Independence Day: A Frankenstein's Monster of famous American figures, riding in a tank. Attacks by shooting cannonballs with the colors of the American flag.
- Halloween: A grim reaper-themed puppet made out of Jack Skellington's remains. Attacks by lashing out with Soul Robber, ensnaring Mirabel/Miguel and rapidly draining their health if they are hit by it.

- Christmas: Santa Claus mutated into Krampus. Attacks by throwing down presents that break apart to summon evil toys to aid him in battle, which can easily be destroyed.

- Oogie spits out some spike-edged gambling chips. Aside from acting as hazards, Mirabel/Miguel can use these as platforms to get up to Oogie and attack him, though they have to be quick about it as they collapse two seconds after Mirabel jumps on them.
- Oogie forcefully inhales, sucking Mirabel/Miguel towards him. If the player doesn't button mash quickly enough, Mirabel/Miguel is sucked into Oogie, who chews them up a few times before spitting them out, dealing hefty damage.

- Maleficent uses her magic to conjure up a whip made of thorns before striking up to 3 times with it.
Final Chapter: Battle on Bald Mountain[]
Villain: Chernabog
Changed Ending: Released from Bald Mountain when Mirabel attempts to rewrite her fate and give herself a Gift, Chernabog and his demonic minions consumed the town of his capture and realised his release was due to the change of history. Unwilling to lose this chance, he sends his minions into the worlds of other dark-hearted villians to darken history forever and remain free.
When Mirabel and Miguel defeat Maleficent, he attempts to corrupt the world of Encanto against her as a last ditch effortt, but it is proven pointless when his chosen victim refuses to harm her own family and uses Chernabog's own power against him, revealing him into the open and forcing him into a fight. Unfortunately, he isn't so easily fought,
Boss Fight:
- Phase 1: Chernabog rips the Encanto into the sky as the land becomes fractured, the player having to work their way up through the tornado and jumping through the huge debries and platforms to get back to Mirabel's home, the house itself laying corrupted magic to defend itself against all intruders, regardless of blood. Once inside, the heroes must fight off darkened versions of Mirabel's family as they explore. Once all are defeated, Phase 2 begins.
- Phase 2: Having lost his hold on Encanto's world, Chernabog raises Bald Mountain and sends his legions against the Encanto, the uncorrupted family members telling the heroes to take Chernabog on face to face as they defend. As the latent magic remaining enchants a pair of flying brooms, the gameplay shifts into a rail shooter, blasting down flying minions and Beast's through Chernabog's storm untill they land on Bald Mountain itself. From there, they must fight mini boss variations of previous 5 bosses, each platforming section becoming more and more corrupted untill Chernabog is reached.
- Interlude: As he's reached, Chernabog's darkened energy spikes, and yet seeing no fire in the accidentual heroes eyes, he knows he's near the end. Crouching down to their view, he extends an offer: allow him freedom and he will uses his powers to grant the two their greatest desires. Unlike the last time he offered this, it isn't a trick, and saying yes will achieve the Darkest Desire ending. Saying no will enrage Chernabog, and begin Phase 3.
- Phase 3: Fighting the full form of Chernabog, the heroes must slowly rise from the ground to reach his head, using the Allies they've gained from the other worlds to fight off Chernabog's attacks. When Chernabog smashes the ground, he will create platforms for the heroes to jump on. The higher they are, the more dangerous Chernabog's attacks.
- (low) Chernabog will growl and raise his arm before smashing it into the ground. At medium health, he will do this twice, and at low, he will do this three times with shadowy tendrils coming out of its sides. (high) Chernabog will reach his hand in a grabbing motion, throwing down anyone it captures and dealing damage. At low health, it infects Corruption on its grabbed victim, lowering the speed extrmely,
- (low) Chernabog extends his dark powers to the floor, blasting the ground with spikes of Corruption. The lower his health gets, the larger the blasts. (high) Chernabog infects a platform with Corruption, causing it to fall apart. Once it does, it turns into a spike aimed at the Heroes. The lower his health, the more rampant the corruption.
- (low) Chernabog throws a collection of his minions down to the ground, the stronger they are depends on Chernabog's health. (high) Flying enemies will begin to strike at your position, at a more rapid pace the lower the health.
- (low) Chernabog flies into the air and returns to the ground, causing seismic quakes at a pace. Lower health is the faster he dos it. (high) Chernabog opens his wings and launches a windy pace at the Heroes, having a chance to launch them off platforms.
- Chernabog swats the ground or the air, depending on the location, throwing the Heroes around like a ball.
- (low) Chernabog vomits the ground with corruption lava, causing anyone who steps in it to burn up with high corruption. (high) Chernabog roars and blasts the platforms with corruption, spreading in a rapid fashion. The more damage he takes, the more accurate the attack.
