Powerups[]

Item Name	What it does when it's normal	When juiced up
Turbo Boost Can	Gives a speed boost. 'Nuff said.	Gives an even bigger boost. 'nuff said.
Missile	Tracks the closest racer and blasts them!	The missile goes faster and tracks better!
TNT Crate	Drop this onto the road to create an explosive surprise! If you get one on your head, hop repeatedly to get it off!	It becomes a Nitro crate, which explodes instantly when hit.
Bowling Bomb	Can be rolled forwards or backwards in a straight line, and be detonated by pressing the fire button again. When it hits, anyone it catches in it's radius is thrown.	It moves at double it's usual speed, and has a bigger blast radius.
Mask Protection	Aku Aku [or Uka Uka if you play as a bad guy character] spins around your kart to protect it for a few seconds. Also, you'll go much faster and anyone you run into will spin out of control! But their power is not strong enough to protect you from big drops or deep water, so watch out!	Aku Aku [or Uka Uka] stick around even longer, and you'll go twice as fast.
Fake Crate	This looks like an ordinary item crate, but if you run into it, it will explode in your face. Hint: Careful placement can fool even the most cleverest racers!	It has an even bigger blast radius, and looks exactly like a real item crate, making it easier to fool the other racers!
Cursed Candle	Temporarily obscures the view of all racers ahead of you.	Obscures the view of all racers ahead of you for even longer.
N. Tropy's Time Freezer Clock	Temporarily freezes time for all but the user.	Time is temporarily frozen for even longer.
Bubble Shield	Protects you from 1 of your other opponents's attacks temporarily.	The shield lasts forever - until hit.
N Brio's Beaker	Drops a beaker on the track. Anyone it touches will spin out.	The beaker is now a poison that disables the use of weapons and scrambles the controls of whoever drives into it.
Voodoo Curse [Races only]	This voodoo curse shrinks all racers except for the user, who temporarily goes a lot quicker than normal, and can drive on slow surfaces without slowing down.	The effect lasts longer.
Invisibility [Battle Mode only]	You temporarily become invisible to all the other players. But just because you can't be seen doesn't mean you can't be hit!	The effect lasts longer.
Super Engine [Battle Mode only]	Temporarily replaces your engine for a one that makes you go faster than ever.	The effect lasts longer.
