Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Deluxe

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Deluxe is a re-mastered version of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that was released on January 21, 2029 on the 30th anniversary of the original game. It seeks to address criticisms with the original version of the game. Like Melee & Brawl, the game is rated T for Teen.

Final Smash

Despite having the same story & world maps, Final Smash plays more similar to Subspace Emissary, with the mode being a side-scrolling adventure in the style of a platformer with less emphasis on "spirit" battles. Players navigate mostly linear stages jumping over obstacles & defeating groups of enemies, which include Light or Dark Clones that contain spirits of characters & items from various franchise. The mode features a world map where locations can be selected, the difficulty can be chosen & the characters who'll enter the stage can also be chosen. There's also more of a story to show why Galeem & Dharkon are even here to begin with, despite having the same non-dialogue method of telling a story as Subspace Emissary, but with more words coming from the characters when it's needed to avoid some scenes from coming off as awkward as well as the Assist Trophies being involved.

It also features 4 paths: a path where Galeem wins & engulfs the Omniverse in light, a path where Dharkon wins & engulfs the Omniverse in darkness, a path where the Smash Brothers win & defeat Galeem & Dharkon, creating a new dawn before returning to their original worlds & a path where everyone dies & 1 last battle take place between Master Soul & Galeem Soul & Dharkon Soul as the Omniverse collapses & all 3 are reborn, which ends with Master Soul saving Galeem & Dharkon's souls & its components keeping them in containers to make sure this never happens again, aware of them being necessary evils & all now live on the same planet as friends with benefits except those are already in relationships. Each ending has its own benefits & rewards & neither of them are considered “best ending” or a canon ending. Realistically speaking, the last of 4 paths can be seen as the true ending.

Fighters

Besides the 83 veterans, 117 newcomers arrived including characters people weren't happy that they weren't promoted in the original version. The total is 200 not counting Master Soul, who's able only playable in the Galeem Soul & Dharkon Soul boss fight. Bolded fighters are newcomers. There's also changes in some of the movesets to make more references to their home franchises & some Echo Fighters like Daisy & Lucina were made into their own characters.

	Captain Toad	Super Mario	A red Toad dressed with an over-sized backpack & headlamp that’s the leader of the Toad Brigade, a group of Toads that provided help to Mario.
	Daisy	Super Mario	The sassy princess of Sarasaland who was captured an alien named Tatanga so he can marry her, but was saved by Mario.
	Rosalina	Super Mario	The surrogate mother of the Lumas & the Master of the Comet Observatory who helped Mario save Peach from Bowser 1 time.
	Geno	Super Mario	A spirit who possessed an otherwise-inanimate wooden doll to aid Mario, Peach & Bowser in their quest to stop Smithy, only to discover that he’s 1 of the 7 stars they’re looking for to do it.
	Bowser	Super Mario	The King of the Koopas & Mario’s arch-nemesis who likes kidnapping princesses to rule their kingdom, specifically Peach, though he had to team up with him against bigger threats, mostly due to his reasons like "he'll never be able to kidnap Peach again".
	Kamek	Super Mario	A Magikoopa that serves 1 of Bowser’s 2nd-in-commands alongside Bowser Jr. & became Yoshi’s arch-nemesis given that they were taking care of their future masters years ago.
	Bowser Jr.	Super Mario	The Prince of Koopas & Bowser's son who serves 1 of his 2nd-in-commands alongside Kamek.
	Piranha Plant	Super Mario	The Mushroom Kingdom’s version of Venus Fly-Traps known for coming out of pipes as a standard enemy for Mario.
	Yoshi	Yoshi	1 of the Mario Bros.' best allies, saving the 2 of them while they were babies after Kamek attacked the stork they were being carried by & is well known for his long tongue & large appetite, turning anything he eats into eggs, which he then uses as projectiles.
	Donkey Kong	Donkey Kong	Cranky Kong’s grandson who hails from Donkey Kong Island & likes to spend his days eating bananas & hanging out with Diddy, despite having captured Pauline like him a few times before.
	Diddy Kong	Donkey Kong	Donkey Kong’s nephew who helps him out on his adventures like Luigi & once saved him after he was captured by K. Rool, only to get captured himself along with him in the game after that.
	Dixie Kong	Donkey Kong	Another member of the Kong family who helped Diddy rescue Donkey after K. Rool kidnapped him, only to have to save him too in the next game.
	Funky Kong	Donkey Kong	A Kong who's a surfer & usually helps out Donkey & his pals by providing them different modes of transportation as well as being their shopkeeper.
	King K. Rool	Donkey Kong	The leader of the Kremlings which he rules with an iron fist & originally stole the Kongs' banana hoards for some reason where he gained a great hatred towards them & will do whatever it takes to destroy them & their island once & for all.
	Wario	Wario	Mario's obese, greedy & nefarious doppelganger who can often be found either adventuring for treasure or running a microgame making company to make quick money, when not trying to beat him in every way.
	Waluigi	Wario	Wario’s partner-in-crime & Luigi’s doppelganger who can be described as a cheater & a sore loser due to not getting that much in his early life, resulting in him relying on dirty tricks in order to gain victory.
	Ashley	Wario	1 of Wario's employees at WarioWare who's the girl next door living in the haunted mansion in Diamond City with her demon minion Red & strives to be the Omniverse’s greatest witch by means necessary.
	Pikachu	Pokémon	An Electric-type Pokémon that can store electricity in its cheeks & release it when startled or angered.
Red Leaf	Pokémon Trainer	Pokémon	Traveling characters that catch & train many types of Pokémon & has Squirtle, a Water-type Pokémon, Ivysaur, a Plant-type Pokémon & Charizard, a Fire-type Pokémon with them.
	Jigglypuff	Pokémon	A dual-type Normal/Fairy Pokémon best known for its soothing singing via inflating its body, which can put foes to sleep.
	Mewtwo	Pokémon	A Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon that was created in the Kanto region using Mew's DNA to be the perfect Pokémon but escaped & was left to figure out the Omniverse by itself.
	Pichu	Pokémon	The pre-evolved version of Pikachu that has a chance of hurting itself with using its electric attacks.
	Deoxys	Pokémon	A Psychic-type Mythical Pokémon that was born from a virus attached to a meteorite after being exposed to a laser beam, becoming a rival to Rayquaza & has a DNA theme to it.
	Lucario	Pokémon	A dual-type Fighting/Steel Pokémon that specializes in attacks that uses Aura energy & can detect life energy in others.
	Greninja	Pokémon	A dual-type Water/Dark Pokémon that's just as fast & dangerous as any other ninja, though the pink scarf around its neck is actually its tongue, which leads to questions over how it even eats.
	Incineroar	Pokémon	A dual-type Fire/Dark Pokémon that resembles a bipedal cat in wrestling attire akin to heel wrestlers & can be a massive show-off when doing its moves.
	Rillaboom	Pokémon	A Grass-type Pokémon that carries a tree-stump like a drum & can control plant life by drumming it with its drumsticks.
Default Classic	Link	The Legend of Zelda	The Hero of the Wild & Hyrule's champion who fell into a coma for a century after using all his strength to fight Calamity Ganon, gaining amnesia when he woke up sets & off on an adventure throughout Hyrule to defeat Calamity Ganon.
	Young Link	The Legend of Zelda	Another Link who gained a connection with his older self thanks to the Ocarina of Time.

	Ganondorf	The Legend of Zelda	The King of Evil & reincarnation of Demise's hatred for Hylia & her chosen hero & Link & Zelda’s arch-nemesis whose specific motives involve capturing Zelda & planning to take over the world out of jealousy, due to a life full of suffering living in the Gerudo desert.
	Skull Kid	The Legend of Zelda	A child who stole Majora's Mask from Happy Mask Salesman, corrupting them into trying to destroy Termina with the Moon in 3 days, only to get defeated by Link.
	Kirby	Kirby	A short squishy creature well known for his ability to eat almost anything & steal the powers of whoever he eats, but can lose them if hit hard enough.
	King Dedede	Kirby	A large portly penguin who’s the self-proclaimed king of Dream Land & Kirby’s arch-enemy who stole all the food in Dream Land originally, but has been used as a tool or puppet by various intergalactic villains over the years & even helps Kirby nowadays.
	Meta Knight	Kirby	A mysterious knight that wields a sword called Galaxia & walks the line between being an enemy & an ally.
	Bandana Dee	Kirby	Dedede's right-hand man who's a Waddle Dee with a blue bandana on that has helped Kirby on some of his adventures.
	Samus	Metroid	The Omniverse’s most famous bounty hunter that’s constantly helping the Galactic Federation fight against the Space Pirates & other Galactic threats.

	Ryu	Street Fighter	A skilled fighter that has participated in many tournaments & was trained by Gouken in the art of Ansatsuken, the Assassination's Fist, despite having to deal with the Satsui no Hado inside.
	Ken	Street Fighter	Ryu's more energetic, cheerful & boisterous best friend & rival whose goal is to test his power against many different fighters & strives to become stronger.
	Chun-Li	Street Fighter	An International Criminal Police Organization detective who seeks to avenge her father by defeating Bison & the Trope Codifier of the Kick Chick trope, but desires a normal life.
	Akuma	Street Fighter	An extremely powerful warrior & Ryu’s uncle who proclaims himself to be the "Master of the Fist" & is always seeking stronger opponents & deals brutally with those who dare interrupt him but believes in a certain principle of self-worth & abides to the code of the warrior.

	Snake	Metal Gear	A former Green Beret & a highly skilled special operations soldier from FOXHOUND who engaged in many dangerous solo stealth & espionage missions throughout the years.
	Simon	Castlevania	A member of the Belmont clan, a bloodline of vampire hunters who have fought against Count Dracula for centuries.
	Alucard	Castlevania	Dracula's son who turned on him for letting Lisa's death getting the better of him, having helped the Belmonts a few times & once dealt with him personally.

	Solaire	Dark Souls	A knight from Astora who journeyed to Lordran on a personal quest to find his own inner Sun.
	Heihachi	Tekken	The host of the King of Iron Fist Tournament & head of the Mishima Zaibatsu who wishes to defeat his son Kazuya & grandson Jin Kazama & obtain the Devil Gene they inherited from his late wife Kazumi.
	Nightmare	Soul Calibur	The wielder & manifestion of the cursed sword Soul Edge who was originally an alter-ego for Siegfried Schtauffen, when he grabbed it & was consumed by the its will.
	Lloyd	Tales	A normal country boy who, orphaned as a child, was adopted & raised by a dwarf named Dirk & would be thrusted out into an epic journey following an attack on his village.

Assist Trophies

Spirits who were able to reclaim their bodies after Galeem's attack or boss fights, but are forced to temporarily serve who ever summon them. Most can air dodge, meteor smash or spike opponents & can be defeated, grabbed, thrown, carried, chomped on, taken down, buried & possessed. You can also give them food to keep them from being KO'ed, especially if they got hit & protect them as if they were an actual team member. Pokémon Balls have been scrapped in favor of making them Assist Trophies, while the summons still appear in Midgar & several were cut, despite not being that well-known or attacking too similarly to others. Bolded characters are newcomers.

Bosses

Except for Galleom, Duon, Master Hand, Crazy Hand, Giga Bowser, Ganon, The Vampire Witch Reaper, Galeem, Dharkon & Tabuu, all bosses are spirits who Galeem & Dharkon kept as emergencies in case the fighters kept freeing everyone & only defeating them will free them from their control. Some of them will become assist trophies. Metal Face, Dark Emperor, Yellow Devil & Metal Gear REX are now proper bosses, but can still appear as stage hazards & aren't bolded. Bolded characters are newcomers. If a fighter appears twice on the Boss to section, it means that fight both bosses at the end of their Classic Mode. The addition of more bosses was to address the complaints about how many Classic Mode Paths ended with battles with Master Hand & Crazy Hand in the original version.

The wand is replaced by a paintbrush for Adeline & Vince, a Spellbook for Gwen, Lana & Tharja, the Royal Magic Wand for Star Butterfly, the Staff of Sameness for Starlight Glimmer, the Staff of Sacanas for Storm King, a Fairy Wand for Timmy or for most of them, don't even use 1 & just fire out of their hands. The Mii Costumes for Ashley, Lip, Veronica, Vince & Viridi were reworked for this class.
