Finding Dory: The Video Game is an action-adventure video game based on the 2016 film of the same name by Disney and Pixar and a sequel to the 2003 Finding Nemo video game (published by THQ and developed by Traveller's Tales), released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in June 12, 2016. The PS Vita Port Released on June 21st, 2016. The Nintendo Switch port was released in March 3, 2017.

Story Mode[]
This Game brings back the same gameplay as Finding Nemo. A 2D Level Path in a 3D space.
Open Ocean DLC[]
The game adds an Open Ocean campaign, not unlike Toy Box Mode in Toy Story 3 the Video game, or the Finding Dory Play set in Disney Infinity 3.0 edition. In fact, some designs and buildings are the same, as the Disney infinity Play set was released just days later. This Pack is available for 0.99 USD.

Interactive Aquarium[]
The Game also features the Interactive Aquarium from Finding Nemo’s DS Game, “Escape to the big blue”, and its 3DS special edition version. This mode allows you customize your own tank with characters, homes, decorations, and more using shells and special capsules found on the other two modes.

Characters[]
- Dory: Dory is one of the playable characters in the game. Dory is a blue tang and she travels with Marlin & Nemo across the Sea to find Her lost parents. Dory suffers from short term memory loss, causing her to forget things instantly after she says something, though it begins to reverse throughout the game.
- Nemo: Nemo is one of the playable characters in the game. Nemo is a clownfish who assists Dory & Marlin on the journey across the pacific to find Dory’s Family, learning to work more cooperatively with his father, Marlin, in order to do so.
- Marlin: Marlin is a playable character in the game. Marlin is a clownfish who assists Dory & Nemo on the journey across the pacific to find Dory’s Family, learning to work more cooperatively with his son, Nemo, in order to do so.
- Hank: Hank is a playable character in the game. He is an octopus (actually septapus).
- Destiny: a whale shark.
- Bailey: a beluga whale.
- Sheila: Sheila (AKA SeaRider) is a Submarine created by the MLI that boasts artificial fish intelligence that allows it to think like a real fish and operate without a pilot. In the Open Ocean Campaign, she challenges you to a race! Can a real fish beat an AI at Swim Racing? She replaced Tad in a few Racing Missions in Open Ocean in an update.
- Jenny and Charlie: dory’s parents.
- Mr. Ray: Mr. Ray is a spotted eagle ray who is Nemo's science teacher. He appears in the "TBA" level where you have to keep up with him and not get separated. Later in the level, he challenges you to hide and seek with his students.
- Tad, Sheldon, and Pearl: Tad the butterflyfish, Sheldon the seahorse, and Pearl the flapjack octopus are the three students who Nemo befriends on his first day of school. They appear in some of the first levels in the game, including "TBA", "TBA", and "TBA". They also appear in the Open Ocean Campaign, in charge of various challenges like Racing (Tad), Enemy Survival (Sheldon), and Collection (Pearl). Tad ended up being Replaced by Sheila in March 2017, including two racing missions in Open Ocean.
- Crush: Crush is a sea turtle who was one of the allies Marlin met in his quest to find Nemo. Crush only appears in the "California Current" level where he tells Marlin, Nemo, and Dory to go through the current to advance to the next level. He also has a son named Squirt.
- Moonfish: The moonfish are one of the helper characters in the game. In a race or a timed challenge, the moonfish form an arrow towards where you have to go. They also appear often in bonus levels throughout the game.
- Krill: The krill are used for protection throughout the game. When you find a krill, it follows you and you don't lose lives by enemies until there are no more krills following you.
