Koopa Kart 7 is the seventh installment in the Koopa Kart series and the fourth installment to be made by HammerBro101 Incorporated. It was released for the Nintendo 3DS in early June 2014.

Items[]

Koopa Kart 7 introduces three new items: the Gold POW Block, Super Mega Mushroom, Lakithunder Cloud, Fire Flower, Super Leaf, and Lucky Seven, the last of which does not return in Koopa Kart 8. The POW Block, Mega Mushroom, and Lightning Cloud from Koopa Kart Wii are absent from the game, as the first three new items listed replace them as of this game. The Boo from previous installments is also absent.

One notable change is that the Fake Item Box has been redesigned and reinvented to look and function similarly to its Koopa Kart 64 incarnation.

Item Description Placements
Gold POW Block (Mario Kart 7)

Gold POW Block (New Item)

The Gold POW Block replaces the POW Block from Koopa Kart Wii and is a new item in Koopa Kart 7. Activate it, and you will send a soundwave to everyone in front of you that will flip them twice and make them drop their items in a way similar to that caused by a Bullet Bill after just under five seconds. This item will hit you even if you are airborne, and pressing the trick button will not work here, so you'll either have to use a cannon or a certain item to avoid this dangerous item. 5th-10th
Lakithunder Cloud (Mario Kart 7)

Lakithunder Cloud (New Item)

Replacing the Lightning Cloud from Koopa Kart Wii, the Lakithunder Cloud gives you a speed boost, and if another racer tries to steal it, it will shrink them to a tiny size. If you want to steal this item from another player, you'll have to use a Star, Super Mega Mushroom, or Bullet Bill. You can only strike three racers before it disappears, so use it wisely. Also, the cloud will be destroyed if you use a cannon, so have fun with this item while it lasts! 3rd-7th
Super Mega Mushroom (Mario Kart 7)

Super Mega Mushroom (New Item)

The Super Mega Mushroom makes its Koopa Kart debut in Koopa Kart 7, serving as the replacement for the Mega Mushroom from Koopa Kart Wii. This humongous fungus grows your kart to a massive size, allowing you to flatten your opponents like a pancake. You are invincible to every item, and yes, that includes Stars, Lightning, and Bullet Bills. You will also get a boost in speed, handling, drift, and off-road, making this a very powerful item. 4th-8th
Fire Flower (Mario Kart 7)

Fire Flower (New Item)

The Fire Flower makes its Koopa Kart debut in Koopa Kart 7. This item will allow you to throw one fireball at a time, which can potentially burn out nearby racers and faraway targets. You can only have three fireballs on the screen at a time, as throwing a fourth one will cause the first fireball thrown to disappear. The item will disappear ten seconds after you throw the first fireball. Otherwise, it will disappear after you throw ten fireballs. 2nd-7th
Super Leaf (Mario Kart 7)

Super Leaf (New Item)

The Super Leaf is a newcomer to Koopa Kart 7. This item will spawn a tail on the back of your kart, allowing you to collect nearby Coins and flip nearby opponents. The tail acts automatically, and the range is decent. It will also free up an item slot when used, unlike its Mario Kart 7 variant. 1st-5th
Lucky Seven (Mario Kart 7)

Lucky Seven (New Item)

New to Koopa Kart 7, the Lucky Seven gives you seven items that line up behind your kart. You can use one item at a time and switch the order of which items you want to use by pressing up or down on the D-Pad. You will see a similar item to this in the next installment. 5th-8th
Blooper (Mario Kart 7)

Blooper

Returning from Koopa Kart DS, the Blooper will blind everyone in front of you and make their vehicles harder to control. You can remove the ink if you get a speed boost. 4th-9th
Bullet Bill (Mario Kart 7)

Bullet Bill

The well-known Bullet Bill transforms you into a Bullet Bill, allowing you to autopilot the track and bowl over any players within your path. 8th-12th
Banana (Mario Kart 7)

Banana

The Banana will spin you out if you even dare to hit one! You can defend yourself with this item. 1st-5th
Triple Banana (Mario Kart 7)

Banana Bunch (Mario Kart 7)

Banana Bunch

Green Shell (Mario Kart 7)

Green Shell

The Green Shell travels in a straight line and bounces off walls. It flips over any kart it hits. You can use this as a means of defense by holding it behind you. 1st-5th
Triple Green Shell (Mario Kart 7)

Triple Green Shell

The Triple Green Shell deploys a line of three Green Shells behind your kart that can be used defensively or offensively. 2nd-5th
Red Shell (Mario Kart 7)

Red Shell

The Red Shell automatically targets the kart in front of you, flipping it over unless it has a means of defense. 1st-8th
Triple Red Shell (Mario Kart 7)

Triple Red Shell

The Triple Red Shell deploys a line of three Green Shells behind your kart that can be used defensively or offensively. 4th-8th
N64 Fake Item Box (Mario Kart 7 Style)

Fake Item Box

The Fake Item Box has been reinvented for the better, as not only does it block items for the first time since Koopa Kart Advance, but it also floats in mid-air and looks almost exactly like a real Item Box. As in Double Trouble!!, DS, and Wii, will flip you over if you hit it. 1st-5th
Blue Spiny Shell With Wings (Mario Kart 7 Style)

Blue Spiny Shell

The dreaded Blue Spiny Shell targets the racer in 1st place and dives onto it, tossing it upwards with an explosion. Starting from this installment, you can use a Mushroom to avoid the explosion. Like in 64 and Advance, this item will travel on the ground, hitting other players on its way to the 1st place racer. It will then grow wings once it passes the 2nd place racer. 4th-8th
Poison Mushroom (Mario Kart 7)

Golden Mushroom (Mario Kart 7)

Golden Mushroom

The Golden Mushroom gives you infinite speed boosts for 7-8 seconds, allowing you to ignore off-road terrain and make huge shortcuts. 6th-12th
Star (Mario Kart 7)

Star

The Star gives you invincibility, allowing you to bowl over players and protect yourself from every single item. The effect lasts for 7.5 seconds. 7th-12th
Lightning (Mario Kart 7)

Lightning

The Lightning item will zap everyone except you, slowing them down and making them drop their items. If you're in last place, you will grow back almost instantly. However, if you're in first place, you will be small for a long time. 9th-12th
Bob-omb (Mario Kart 7)

Bob-omb

The Bob-omb will count down before exploding, tossing any kart upwards and making it drop its items. It isn't a good idea to hold this behind you, because this means disaster for you! 2nd-6th
