PerDarCloDev.jpg Cloaking Device Super Smash Bros. Status Renders the user mostly invisible and makes them immune to damage (but not knockback).
Smash.4 - Home-Run Bat.png Home-Run Bat Super Smash Bros. Battering Gives a one-hit KO to the opponent who is hit from the bat.

Fan.jpg Fan Super Smash Bros. Battering Gives 1% damage to the fighter.

SSBU Assist Figure.png Assist Trophy Super Smash Bros. Summoning Spawns an Assist Trophy to help the fighters.

SSBUBananaGun.png Banana Gun Super Smash Bros. Shooting Fires a banana fruit rocket. After it is fired, the user is left with the Banana Peel, which can trip opponents.
SSBUBeastball.png Beastball Super Smash Bros. Throwing After being thrown, the Beastball will reappear near an opponent and target them, covered in flames similarly to a Soccer Ball.
Crackerlauncher.jpg Cracker Launcher Super Smash Bros. Shooting Allows the fighter to rapidly launch firecrackers, which bounce off walls and explode on impact with a floor or enemy.
TeamHealer.jpg Team Healer Super Smash Bros. Throwing/Recovery Heals teammates when thrown at them. When thrown at opponents, can heal or damage them at random. Only appears during team battles.
Super mushroom.png Super Mushroom Mario Status Grows a fighter.
Super Star (New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe).png Super Star Mario Status Makes a user invincible for a few seconds.

Green Shell Artwork - Mario Kart Wii.png Green Shell Mario Throwing The shell deals high knockback when it hits characters. The shell can move at incredibly fast speeds and inflict major damage, or it can slowly drift across the stage; it all depends on how players use and interact with it.
Red Shell Artwork - Mario Kart Wii.png Red Shell Mario Throwing Unlike the Green Shell, which went in a straight path until it fell off, the Red Shell will stay on one platform, and bounce back and forth hitting anyone in its path (including the user).
Spiny Shell (Mario Kart 8).png Spiny Shell Mario Throwing Targets a fighter with the higher score and explodes on that fighter.
SSBUBoomerang.png Boomerang Mario Throwing Can be thrown at and grabbed by opponents. Returns to the thrower unless intercepted. Gains power when caught.
SM3DW - Super Leaf.png Super Leaf Mario Status Gives the user raccoon ears and tail. Allows the user to float in mid-air using the jump button.
LaunchStar.png Super Launch Star Mario Throwing Can be set in midair, where it will attract and launch any characters that get too close to it. The launch has the potential to KO fighters.
Rocket Flower SMO.jpg Rocket Flower Mario Status Makes the fighter move fast.

SSBUHammer.png Hammer Donkey Kong Special One of the most feared items in the game due to its range, damage, and knockback. However, it limits the user to walking and a single jump; the user cannot even choose to drop the item. May randomly lose its head and become useless.
Banana Juice - Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.png Banana Juice Donkey Kong Status When used, the user is immune until they are hit 20 times.
Barrel Cannon - Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.png Barrel Canon Donkey Kong Throwing Once thrown or it lands on a hill, grabs and launches the first character it hits. Disappears very quickly.
Coconut Gun - SBB.png Coconut Gun Donkey Kong Shooting Fires both normal & crystal coconuts at the opponents. While the normal coconut deals a normal amount of damage to the opponent hit by the coconut, they crystal coconut deals double the damage to the opponent.
Spring.jpg Spring Donkey Kong Throwing When idle, repels characters when touched depending on whether it is upright or sideways.
Heart Container Skyward Sword.png Heart Container The Legend of Zelda Recovery Strongest recovery item, recovering up to 100% damage.
MM3D Bunny Hood.png Bunny Hood The Legend of Zelda Status Increases the user's movement speed, jump height, and falling speed.
DekuNut.jpg Deku Nut The Legend of Zelda Throwing When thrown, damaged, or after a short time (even if held), nearby characters are stunned (if grounded) or launched (if aerial).
Fairy Bottle Spirit.png Fairy Bottle The Legend of Zelda Throwing/Recovery Recovers an excess of 100% damage, but only if the user's damage is 100% or more. Otherwise, can be thrown, but will heal anyone hit who meets the prior requirement.
Cucco Spirit.png Cucco The Legend of Zelda Throwing Can be thrown at opponents. If attacked or thrown at a player, it summons various Cuccos that attack the player that attacked it or was hit by it.
Beetle (Skyward Sword).png Beetle The Legend of Zelda Throwing Can be thrown towards an opponent, and the item will grab the opponent and fly off into the air with them. Can be reversed by hitting it.
Bombchu2.png Bombchu The Legend of Zelda Throwing Can move up walls and across floors and ceilings. Explodes on contact with opponent.
BotW Spring-Loaded Hammer Model.png Spring-Loaded Hammer The Legend of Zelda Battering When opponents are at close range near the user with this item, they will be sent flying.
Gust Bellow - Skyward Sword.png Gust Bellows The Legend of Zelda Shooting Blows gusts of wind at other players to push them away.
Fire Rod (A Link Between Worlds).png Fire Rod The Legend of Zelda Battering/Shooting Has a limited supply of fireballs produced on f-tilt or f-smash.
Tempered Sword.png Tempered Sword The Legend of Zelda Battering/Shooting Works similarly to Link's Master Sword, but stronger & it can shoot beams.
LANS Guardian Acorn Model.png Guardian Acorn The Legend of Zelda Status Reduces the damage a fighter take by half.
LANS Piece of Power Model.png Piece of Power The Legend of Zelda Status Doubles the user's attack power and increases movement speed.
SSBUScrewAttack.png Screw Attack Metroid Status Turns the holder's jumps into Screw Attacks.
YoshiEgg.png Yoshi Egg Yoshi Container Gives an item (or explodes) when thrown, but bounces on walls, floors & ceilings.
SMW2 YI Melon Bug.png Melon Bug Yoshi Throwing When thrown, rolls into a ball.
Tap.jpg Tap-Tap Yoshi Throwing When thrown or struck, it rolls backwards, damaging fighters in it's path.
Starrodart.png Star Rod Kirby Battering/Shooting Has a limited supply of long-range star shots produced on f-tilt or f-smash.
SSBUMaximTomato.png Maxim Tomato Kirby Recovery The third most powerful recovery item, healing up to 50% damage.
Warp Star (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate).png Warp Star Kirby Special Once picked up, the user flies into the sky and then crashes down with an explosion. Can be steered slightly, and if there are platforms above, will land there instead of the starting point.
Ssbmitemsparasol.jpg Parasol Kirby Battering Reduces the holder's falling speed, allowing them to glide slowly left and right, potentially improving recovery.
Spice curry.jpg Superspicy Curry Kirby Status/Shooting Causes the user to constantly shoot short-range fireballs and be incapable of walking slowly.
Dragoon1.png Dragoon Kirby Special Appears in three pieces that must be collected all at once; characters can lose pieces from their possession when hit or KO'd. Once one character has all the pieces the Dragoon is assembled and flown into the stage for a one-hit KO ram attack.
Bomber Spirit.png Bomber Kirby Special Explodes in the player's hand when used. Only affects enemies.
Smart bomb.jpg Smart Bomb Star Fox Throwing Produces a large explosion when thrown or attacked. Has a chance to be a dud, though it can still explode if hit or thrown again.
Homing Launcher.jpg Homing Launcher Star Fox Shooting Fires a homing missile at a nearby fighter.
Poké Ball Origin.png Poké Ball Pokémon Throwing/Summoning Once thrown and lands on the ground, unleashes a Pokémon to aid the user.

Ore Club - Uprising.png Ore Club Kid Icarus Battering An extremely powerful club made of stone that produces tornadoes when swung. Grants super armor when used as a forward smash.
SSBUXBomb.png X Bomb Kid Icarus Throwing Creates a cross-shaped explosion that spans most of the screen.
Killer Eye KIU.png Killer Eye Kid Icarus Special When placed, can fire energy beams in the direction it faces. Hitting it flips it around.
Daybreak Spirit.png Daybreak Kid Icarus Special/Shooting Appears in three pieces that must be collected all at once; characters can lose pieces from their possession when hit or KO'd. Once one character has all the pieces the weapon assembles in their hands, which they can then use at their discretion to fire a giant laser across the stage, almost guaranteed to KO anyone it hits.
SSBU-Item-Staff.png Staff Kid Icarus Shooting Shoots a beam. The farther the opponent is, the more damage it deals.
Pitchfork.png Pitchfork Wario Throwing Clings to any surface in the direction it is thrown at.
SSBUHocotateBomb.png Hocotate Bomb Pikmin Throwing A bomb shaped like the Hocotate Ship that will fly off, and then crash down after a set time.
Pitfall.jpg Pitfall Animal Crossing Throwing Embeds itself into the ground once thrown; characters that approach it after a short time will be buried or Meteor Smashed. Can also be thrown at an opponent directly for the same effect.
BeehiveRenderWiiU.png Beehive Animal Crossing Throwing Can be thrown at opponents. If attacked or thrown at a player, it summons bees that attack the player that attacked it or was hit by it.
RobotBomb.jpg Autobomb Splatoon Throwing When picked up, the Autobomb's color will correspond with the holder's color (i.e. red for player 1, blue for player 2, and so on). Once thrown, it will chase the fighter that was hit by the bomb.
SSBULipstick.png Lip's Stick Panel de Pon Battering Flowers opponents. Has a limited supply of short-range spore projectiles produced on f-tilt or f-smash.
SSBUSuperScope.png Super Scope Super Scope 6 Shooting Can shoot a total of 48 small rapid-fire pulses of energy or charge 3 large blobs of energy.
GoldHammer.jpg Golden Hammer Wrecking Crew Special Acts the same as the regular Hammer, though faster, more powerful and with the ability to float. May be a dud Squeaky Hammer that deals no damage at all.
Unira.jpg Unira Clu Clu Land Throwing Attaches to the stage once thrown or attacked and pokes opponents that come near. Can be set or reset with a direct attack; indirect ones do nothing.
BlueSharkSteelDiver.gif Steel Diver Steel Diver Shooting A smaller gun-like version of the Steel Diver from the self-titled game for the Nintendo 3DS. Fires a torpedo which travels slowly at first. Deals no shield damage whatsoever.
RocketBeltTrophyWiiU.png Rocket Belt Pilotwings Status Can be equipped and used to increase upward momentum at will, similar to R.O.B.'s up-special.
TMMCBlueSandals.png Blue Sandals The Mysterious Murasame Castle Status Allows the user to move slightly faster and safely walk or stand on water without drowning.
Ssbmitemsflipper.jpg Flipper Balloon Fight Throwing Once thrown, halts in the air and bops characters that run into it.
SonicItemBox.png Item Box Sonic the Hedgehog Status/Container Once broken open, gives the user a random effect with a icon floating up to signify it. Super Ring heals for 10%, Power Sneakers allows to travel faster and Shield absorbs up to 20%. Invincibility makes you invincible for 30 seconds.
ETankMegaMan.png E-Tank Mega Man Recovery When grabbed, the user holds a tank over their head, fully healing their damage meter all the way down to 0%.
Boss galaga.png Boss Galaga Galaxian/Galaga Special Carries foes upward to the top of the screen. Can be destroyed by attacking it.
SpecialFlag.png Special Flag Rally-X/Xevious Special Can be held above the user's head for a long period to gain either a KO point in a timed match or a stock in a stock match. Unlike other items, this one will always be dropped if the user is hit while holding it.
Dissidia-BloodSword.png Blood Sword Final Fantasy Battering Absorbs any damage it deals on the opponent.
Death's Scythe.png Death's Scythe Castlevania Battering Instantly KOs opponents at high percentages.
DQ ChimaeraWing.png Chimaera Wing Dragon Quest Throwing Can be thrown into an opponent to latch onto their back and levitate them in the air for a little bit while they're flinching. They can break free by mashing the button.
BluePunchRaymanLegends.png Blue Punch Rayman Shooting Can shoot limited amounts of blue flying boxing gloves in various directions with normal/aerial attacks. Doing a dash/smash attack will fire up a much stronger/faster, red-colored boxing glove set on fire.
Digivice.png Digivice Digimon Summoning Very similar to Poke Ball, the player can summon a random Digimon to aid them in battle when pressing a normal button to activate it.
FieldDroneDoom.jpg Field Drone DOOM Container Slowly flies around the stage. When attacked, it will drop a package which contains an item for the player to use.
329827-rm2yashichi.gif Yashichi Vulgus Special Can be held above the user's head for a long period to gain either a KO point in a timed match or a stock in a stock match. Unlike other items, this one will always be dropped if the user is hit while holding it, much like the Special Flag, except that it will also fully heal your damage meter back to 0% as well.
Bugbait.png Bugbait Half-Life Throwing When thrown, Antilions will jump at the opponent it hits and attack them.
