Mario Super Mario Donkey Kong

(1981)

Starter As Nintendo's mascot, Mario has appeared in every main Smash Bros. game since the late 90's. Mario is known for being the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom by saving Princess Peach from the evil King of the Koopas: Bowser. When Mario's not busy defeating enemies and saving the world, he sometimes likes to play sports, go kart-racing, or even have a party with his friends.
Luigi Super Mario Mario Bros.

(1983)

Unlockable Despite being in his brother's shadow, Luigi is a well-known character for many people, appearing in every Smash Bros. game, just like his brother. When he once won a mansion in a contest he never participated in, it took a turn for the worst when he saw ghosts roaming the mansion, that being Luigi's fear. Even worse, his brother Mario had been kidnapped by King Boo. But with the help of Professor E. Gadd, Luigi was able to save his big bro from King Boo's clutches.
Peach Super Mario Super Mario Bros.

(1985)

Starter As the princess and ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, it was her job to keep the kingdom in check with her faithful helpers, the Toads. When she got kidnapped by Bowser, Mario had to go rescue her, countless times. But despite all of that, Peach is ready for some good old sports, kart-racing, and partying when she's not busy being kidnapped.
Daisy Super Mario Super Mario Land

(1989)

Unlockable Now this princess is more energetic and a tomboy compared to Peach. While Peach gets kidnapped dozens of times, Daisy is not as often kidnapped. One time, she was kidnapped by an alien named Tatanga, and Mario would set off to Sarasaland to rescue her. Besides that, she usually likes to party with Mario and friends.
Bowser Super Mario Super Mario Bros.

(1985)

Starter This mean old baddie is the tough one here. Bowser is known for being King of the Koopas and also for kidnapping Princess Peach countless times, and being defeated by Mario every time. You don't wanna mess with Bowser, or he'll give ya a pounding for sure. Unless you're Mario, of course.
Bowser Jr. Super Mario Super Mario Sunshine

(2002)

Unlockable Here we have the bratty, spoiled son of the Koopa king. Bowser Jr. first made his appearance in Super Mario Sunshine, where he used a magic paintbrush he had stole- I mean, "been given to by a strange old man in a white coat", as he claimed, to cause havoc on Isle Delfino and pin Mario for the blame after taking his appearance. Despite losing to Mario after that incident, he never gives up on taking Mario down in hopes of making his papa Bowser proud.
Toad Super Mario Super Mario Bros.

(1985)

Starter The mushroom steward of Princess Peach. Toad was first captured among many by Bowser's minions, trapped in one of his castles until Mario rescued him. It wouldn't be until Super Mario Bros. 2 that he got a starring role as a playable character. Did I mention he's the fastest character in that game? Besides that, he was also Peach's neutral special move in the official Smash titles, but it seems he stepped out of that role now to actually prove himself to fight this time around.
Toadette Super Mario Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

(2003)

Unlockable This cute mushroom lass is quite something. First making her appearance as an unlockable racer in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, she's then made her way into the mainline series, helping Mario and his friends in any way she can. Although, there have been rumours about her having a crush on Mario himself... That could just be me, though.
Dr. Mario Super Mario Dr. Mario

(1986)

Unlockable You probably don't know this, but Mario is actually also a doctor and helps take care of the Mushroom Kingdom's sick inhabitants. He sends out pills to get rid of those nasty viruses to get his patients to feel better, whether it'd be Chill or Fever. You'd never really expect a doctor to throw hands though.
Yoshi Yoshi Super Mario World

(1990)

Starter This lovable dinosaur met Mario back when the latter was only just a baby. The Yoshis all agreed to help Baby Mario rescue his little twin brother, Baby Luigi. He's also known for having quite an appetite, eating enemies and fruit and turning them into eggs afterward, allowing him to throw them as weapons. He seems to like fruit more than the enemies, though. Probably the taste of them is the reason why.
Wario Wario Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins

(1992)

Starter This guy here loves garlic and hates Mario. It was said that the reason for this is because Wario had felt that Mario had been teasing him back when they were kids. So, Wario decided to take over Mario's castle and all of Mario Land into Wario Land while Mario was gone to Sarasaland to rescue Princess Daisy from Tatanga. When Mario came back, he noticed what happened and collected all of the six golden coins to face Wario. After being defeated by Mario, Wario then ran away from Mario Land to go seek out some treasure to have enough money to get a castle of his own and rub it in Mario's face.

Paper Mario Super Mario Paper Mario

(2001)

Unlockable This paper-thin version of Mario has travelled to different heights compared to the regular Mario. But besides that, he's still the same kind of Mario we know and love. In Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, he travelled to the real world after he and the other paper characters were shot out from the book, and he teamed with his real counterpart and Luigi to stop Bowser and Paper Bowser from causing havoc.
Starlow Super Mario Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

(2009)

Unlockable This cutesy little fella is a representative of the Star Sprites, and the de facto guide of Mario and Luigi. While gaining a mount of respect towards Mario, she did show some negativity towards Luigi, and it sometimes causes humourous results. Nevertheless, she cares about him, and remains to be the helpful guide she is to the brothers.

When he first met Buzz Lightyear, he had formed a rivalry towards him due to being jealous of hogging Andy's attention, but after getting separated from Andy by accident, the two would learn to trust each other to get themselves back home. After being reunited with Andy and the other toys, Woody would soon become best friends with Buzz, and the two would keep this friendship always as it will never die.
Buzz Lightyear Toy Story Toy Story

(1995)

Unlockable The star of his own line and second-in-command to Andy's toys. Buzz first came to the scene as Andy received him for his birthday, much to the admiration of Andy's toys and the dismay of Woody. Because of this, Woody formed a rivalry against him, despite the fact that Buzz himself was delusional and didn't know that he was a toy at the time. When he eventually figured out who he really was, it only took some confidence from Woody that he would soon discover his new purpose. With no time to waste, the two would make amends as they would soon reunite with Andy. Following this, the two would go on to become best friends…for infinity and beyond.
Jessie the Yodeling Cow-Girl Toy Story Toy Story 2

(1999)

Unlockable The co-star of Woody's Roundup alongside the main star, Sheriff Woody. Jessie used to belong to an owner much like Woody, who was named Emily. After Emily had grown up and placed Jessie in a box, she was soon found by Al McWhiggin, a toy collector who would collect Woody's Roundup merchandise. Upon discovering that Woody was still around, and taken in by Al, she was ecstatic as she learnt that it meant not going back to storage, but was distraught to find out that Woody had an owner. Later on, during the climax of Toy Story 2, Woody managed to convince Jessie to come along with him to Andy's, telling her that Andy had a little sister, which was enough to convince the cowgirl. Upon making it back to Andy's, Jessie, with her horse Bullseye, were happy to finally have a new home. Not to mention, but a certain space ranger seems to have a crush on her, which shows that even the cowgirl herself felt the same way.
Lightning McQueen Cars Cars

(2006)

Starter A race car who is branding the Rusteze Medicated Bumper Ointment. Lightning was known for being a racer who mainly cared about himself and winning, even going as far as to fire his crew chief most of the time. This would all change when he accidentally found himself in the lowly town of Radiator Springs, and soon met the townsfolk there who would go on to become good friends of his, especially his best friend Tow Mater, girlfriend Sally Carrera, and former racing legend and mentor, Doc Hudson. Following Doc's death, McQueen, in his later life, would follow in his former mentor's footsteps by mentoring the young Cruz Ramirez into becoming a racer like him.
Firey Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Starter A literal ball of fire who competed for a reality show called Battle for Dream Island. Being a competitor, he was very much into the game and wanted to desperately win. During Battle for Dream Island, Firey formed a friendship with Leafy, but after she stole Dream Island from him when he won the first season, the two became separate after everyone only cared about chasing Leafy down, leaving Firey to compete in the other seasons to reclaim the prize he once lost. Since then, Firey would seemingly forget who Leafy was, but it was all a coy to make sure no one else would hate him if he still cared for Leafy. It wouldn't be until the fourth season that Firey and Leafy finally put their differences aside and would go on to find their own Dream Island together. He's also shown to be afraid of heights, as well as being afraid of water. Take a wild guess why…
Leafy Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Starter A lemon leaf with an ongoing nice streak. Being generally selfless and kind-hearted, Leafy would go out of her way to help anyone in dire needs, especially when it comes to helping her friends and teammates. She managed to make it to the finals, only losing her win to her best friend, Firey. However, while Firey let everyone else on the island, even his rival Coiny, he decided not to let Leafy on the island, much to her shock. The reason for this was because Leafy didn't like the ferris wheel Firey made for her (mainly due to the fact it had a lavafall, which killed Leafy upon contact), as it hurt his feelings. Feeling hurt herself and vengeful, she decided to steal the island from her best friend, an action she'd later regret. Because of this, everyone would soon hate her and hunt her down, except for Firey, who decided to forget her and move on. Leafy would soon live in isolation on Yoyleland, eating Yoyleberries to survive, as well as attempting to murder anyone who dares to cross her path. She seemingly got back with everyone following the fourth season, and would eventually make amends with Firey as the two would go on to find their own Dream Island together.
Coiny Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Unlockable A copper coin who tries to use his quick wits to achieve his goals. Prior to the events of Battle for Dream Island, he formed a rivalry with Firey, whom the two would often slap each other when it came to an argument. Eventually, Coiny would seemingly learn to let go of this rivalry, with the two now becoming frenemies. He also seems to form a close friendship with another fellow competitor, Pin, especially during BFDIA and TPOT. He wants nothing more than to make sure he and Pin get far into the game, even if it means having to take some other measures sometimes. By the way, if you've been wondering, no, Coiny isn't actually a penny, contrary to what some may tell you.
Pin Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Unlockable A red plastic pushpin who tries to be a heroic leader for her team. First competing on Battle for Dream Island, she always tries her best to get far into the game, even if it means having to cheat once in a while. However, she seems to let go from this tactic, as shown in TPOT. She has quite a history of being bossy most of the time, but she makes up for it in later seasons. Interestingly, when Pin gets nervous, she doesn't sweat normally. Rather, she sweats ooze, which is pretty weird if you ask me. She seems to form a close friendship with another fellow competitor, Coiny.
Flower Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Starter Despite the flower being a symbol of kindness, Flower is actually the complete opposite. She was very rude and mainly cared about herself in early seasons, which could be one of the reasons she got the early boot in Season 1. She had the chance to join Season 2, but she was already killed off, thus being disqualified. Upon returning to compete in Season 4, she managed to make it all the way to the end, even managing to win the season. But instead of keeping her prizes, she decided to give them away to those she trusts, as all she wanted all along was to win. Following this, she would let go of her past personality, now becoming a good friend to those around her.
Blocky Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Unlockable A building block who likes to pull a lot of pranks on people. Whenever he gets the chance, he mainly pull pranks as part of his Blocky's Funny Doing International. Try having a look at the initials of each. His main victim to pull pranks on was Bubble. Besides that, he likes hanging out with the cool friends of his, that include Pen, Eraser, and Snowball. In Battle for BFB, he would start to form a friendship with Woody, as he realized that, while Woody disliked his pranks, he had only done this to impress and befriend him. Upon realizing this, Blocky decided that they can do something together that doesn't involve pranks. Upon seeing that Woody managed to calm Flower down from her fear of bugs, Blocky praised Woody and saw this as an opportunity for Woody to have his own show like Blocky's, where Woody could help people rather than hurt them, called Woody's Fear Destroyer International.
Pencil Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Unlockable Pencil is the leader of her alliance, as well as her team, FreeSmart. She is usually nice with everyone else though, despite there being a few exceptions. Being fiercely loyal to FreeSmart, she would go out of her way to help them in challenges. Her best friend in her alliance is Match, who she usually hung out with a lot during Season 1 and 2. In Season 3, however, it seemed that Pencil found Match a little too "needy". Oh, I hope Needle didn't hear that. Anyway, in Season 4, Pencil seemed to take a more…bossy approach, which is what let to her early elimination. Spending a lot of time in the E.X.I.T. seemed to have damaged her mental state, especially when she managed to join TPOT, with her fear of being eliminated still there, as she thought she would get trapped in a confined space like the E.X.I.T. again if she were to fall under elimination. As such, she desperately attempts to avoid this. She also wants to get her FreeSmart alliance back together after they were all separated, but it doesn't seem to work. Will she able to form her alliance again? Or will she have to accept facts and move on?
Match Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Unlockable The best friend of Pencil and a member of her alliance. Match is your typical valley girl type of character, saying the phrase "like" every so often. She holds a strong bond with Pencil stating that since they're in an alliance, they have to stick together no matter what. However, this wouldn't really last as one of them would eventually get eliminated one way or another. It has been reasonably assumed that Pencil's behaviour, especially towards later seasons, is because of Match's influence. However, she learns to grow herself into a better person following Pencil's elimination in Season 4, and they would soon reunite with her elimination later on. Upon making it back after escaping Four, Match was unfortunately unable to join the season, unlike her BFF, Pencil. However, she would be sent to an unfamiliar location to her, but would soon reunite with some familiar friends.
Bubble Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Starter A member of Pencil's alliance and the one who usually gets killed a lot due to merely popping since she is a bubble, hence her name. Because of her constant popping, she's often the target of Blocky's pranks. Lucky for her, she has her very own recovery centre to allow her to keep living. It's been apparently said that Bubble cannot count to three, but she actually can. It's just that she gets interrupted by dying before she can even count that far. She was originally meant to join BFDIA, but since Flower had killed her off "permanently" back in Season 1, she was disqualified. Later in Season 4, she was shown have a strained relationship with Match, her best friend, but she eventually wanted to forgive her. She's also good friends with Leafy as well, and her favourite kind of food is yoyleberries and yoylecake which, when eaten, would turn those into metal.
Ruby Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Unlockable A gemstone who was introduced in BFDIA. In early episodes, she got along with BFDI veterans Pencil and Match, and was even offered to join the alliance. Once they revived Bubble, however, she wasn't sure on letting Ruby in on the alliance, but she soon had a change of heart and gave Ruby an "apology slap" as her own form of apology. Ruby wanted what was best for her teammates and wanted to get far into the game with them. She is shown to be sensitive after Pencil yells at her for not pressing the red button after FreeSmart had escaped Evil Leafy. She also acts before she thinks, which often leads to her making many mistakes.
Book Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Unlockable As the name implies, Book herself is…well, a book, but is more so a lot of things, including a dictionary, a journal, a Hand-Powered Hand-Powered Recovery Centre Creator Manual, and a guidebook for IDFB, the third season, as she contains many information inside of her pages. She first joined BFDIA alongside Ruby and, upon hearing of Pencil's alliance, wanted to join with the girls alongside veteran Ice Cube. Pencil, unsure, stated that they could be alternates in case the others were out. While not happy with this choice, she would soon accept it as it was better than not joining in. Book often values friendships and sharing connections with others, and tries her best to become a better person. She forms an inseparable bond with Ice Cube, her fellow alternate, as she always protects her from anything coming their way. She also forms a close friendship with Ruby, but she wouldn't go to far as to eating Ruby's yoyleberries.
Ice Cube Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island

(2010)

Unlockable Also known as Icy, this fella has gone on to compete in Battle for Dream Island in more ways than one. She is known to be quiet and vengeful, only speaking a few lines every so often, and seeks vengeance towards all those who dare to mess with her. She also tries desperately to get in Pencil's alliance, but Pencil always denies her any entry into being part of it. She eventually got in as alternates alongside Book during BFDIA, which she wasn't happy about, but had decided to accept it. She also forms a close friendship with Leafy in Season 1, with Leafy usually picking her first as her ally when choosing team members. Interestingly, unlike her alliance members, she doesn't have any arms, so how would you think she'd be able to battle without arms? Well, don't underestimate her, as she might pull an unexpected move on you as vengeance if you're not careful.
Loser Battle for Dream Island Battle for BFDI

(2017)

Unlockable Despite his name being "Loser", he is actually really popular among the contestants, and his fame is what drives him to act as such. He is very prideful and respectful to everyone and has never been directly rude to anyone either, always trying to be helpful to his allies and his team when they need it. However, following a lie when he claimed he used to play with poppers "all the time", even though they were just invented an hour prior, according to Fanny, controversy grew around him as his reputation and fame was suddenly damaged. It was later revealed that he had a close friendship with Winner sometime prior. When he and Winner were offered a starring role in a film, Loser-Cake, Loser wanted them to join, but Winner just wanted to live a normal life, not wanting to feel overwhelmed by fame. Because of this, Loser promptly abandoned them and flew solo, showing how he valued fame over friendship. Will their friendship ever be restored?
Winner Battle for Dream Island Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two

(2021)

Unlockable Unlike their fellow friend, Loser, Winner is anything but full of fame. Winner prefers to live a normal life, as they didn't want to feel overwhelmed by the popularity. It's just not really their style. Prior to the events of the series, Winner formed a close friendship with Loser, as the two usually performed activities together. But after Loser showed them a contract for a film that would star the two of them, Winner was uncomfortable with having fame. Because of this, Loser decided to leave them behind and star in the movie himself. As a result, Winner was left feeling neglected and alone. Later on, they were given the chance to join the fifth season of BFDI: The Power of Two. Luckily for them, they managed to join as they were the top contender to be voted. After they joined the season, one of the contestants, Clock, tried to get to know them more, but Winner still felt uncomfortable with all the fame they were receiving, as they value personal relationships over fame. With their separation from Loser and trying to forget their past, can their friendship ever be restored?
Four Battle for Dream Island X Finds Out His Value

(2008)

Starter An alegbralian and the host of Battle for BFDI and Battle for BFB. Four was shown to have quite a sense of dominance, always looking down over the contestants. Whenever he feels provoked, he usually punishes those who do so to him, such as letting out a screech or shooting some sort of power beam at them. Inside of him is a school-like area that is referred to as the E.X.I.T.. In X Finds Out His Value, he tries to help his friend, X, well, find out his value. Later on, he hears about a show called Battle for Dream Island and soon became obsessed with it as he repeatedly watched episodes of the previous seasons. This is what inspired him to be on the show as a host and so he created a prize that was known as a BFDI, which was actually an archive of the first two seasons Four recorded himself. Four would eventually get his wish upon meeting the contestants themselves, and would go on to host the fourth season, until being interrupted by another algebralian like him who wanted to host as well. Because of this, he would upgrade the prize to a BFB, and would only convince about 14 contestants to stay on his show while the majority went to compete in the new show. After finishing his show, he would soon take the job as a chef alongside X to cook for contestants in the fifth season.
X Battle for Dream Island X Finds Out His Value

(2008)

Unlockable An alegbralian and a friend of Four's. They were first introduced when needing help to find out their value, and Four came to help. Later on, after Four became obsessed with BFDI, X tagged along with him to be his co-host for Season 4. Unlike Four, X is more nicer to the contestants and is usually upbeat and cheerful. They also seemed to be quite soft and pretty sensitive though. They never mean any harm though, and is pretty reasonable as well. After finishing with Season 4, they went on to become a chef with Four during the fifth season.
Two Battle for Dream Island The Number Playground Chronicle!

(2009)

Unlockable An alegbralian and the host of The Power of Two. Two originally made an appearance in the Number Playground Chronicle, before making their proper debut in BFDI during the events of Season 4. They interrupted Four during his chase to get both Loser and Spongy back to the E.X.I.T., and they managed to win over the majority of the contestants by competing in their new aforementioned show by offering granting them a new prize: their own power, which they claimed was limitless. Unlike Four, Two is more friendly and respectful to the contestants, and is shown to grow a bond with them. They've especially formed a strong bond towards one contestant in particular: Gaty, as they would usually chat with her during the competition to cure their boredom. However, their show would go into a bit of trouble as, mysteriously, their contestants were disappearing, especially when they were eliminated. So, Two decided to keep them in a secure location to avoid this. But upon learning of Gaty's elimination, they were at first distraught, as that meant that wouldn't mean they'd be able to chat with each other during competitions as much. So, they kept Gaty in the kitchen to help with the dinner rush with Four and X. But soon enough, Gaty herself would vanish, and once Two found out about this, they would fall into a depression and lose interest in hosting the show. Where could Gaty have gone to? And who was responsible for the disappearances? Those questions would possibly be answered soon enough…
One Battle for Dream Island X Finds Out His Value

(2008)

Unlockable An alegbralian and a mysterious one at that. No pun intended, by the way. She first makes her appearance in the stinger of The Power of Two, appearing from the damaged moon. Upon learning that Two was hosting a show to give the winning contestant their limitless power, One makes it her goal to achieve that power herself. Her reasoning for this is currently unknown. In order to achieve this, she would usually capture contestants and make them sign a deal for each of their benefits. While the benefits for each contestant differ, what benefits One herself is unknown. However, if a deal has been refused, One would try to anything in her power to get that captured contestant to sign the deal, otherwise there'd be serious consequences. She is shown to be quite sadistic as well, even going as far as to capture Two's best friend, Gaty, causing Two to spiral into a depression because of this. It can be assumed she done this to make them emotionally vulnerable, and perhaps was only one step of her master plan…
MePhone4 Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity

(2011)

Starter The host of Inanimate Insanity. Described as an anxious, insecure, yet competitive and upbeat person, MePhone4 enjoys his job as a host, and relies on the competition for contentment. He generally shows little regard for the contestants' well being, which was mainly shown in early Season 2. Although he displays negligence towards his contestants, there are a few exceptions, and he does seem to truly care about them nonetheless. After completing Season 1, he went ahead to host Season 2. However, tensions rise as he gets visibly reminded of his dark past, with him even getting reminded of his creator, Steve Cobs. At one point during Season 2, he left it behind to start Season 3 out of nowhere, and once he was done with that season, he went back to finish Season 2. But then, it gets really tense when Steve Cobs decides to take over during the events of the finale, and he would finally have to face against his evil creator. Will he finally step up against him? Or will his trauma consume him once more?
MePad Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity II

Unlike MePhone4, MePad displays a more welcoming and caring personality towards the contestants, and even displays loyalty to MePhone4. He is very clever and intelligent, analyzing little details and functional marvels while more important matters are at hand. He also tries to see the good in others, such as Taco as he tried to convince her that there was still time to start over. He was also competition towards MePhone4's other assistant, Toilet, but MePad never saw it that way, which he eventually taught Toilet that it was never such a thing. During the events of the finale, he confronts his creator, Steve Cobs, and realizes that, unlike the others, Cobs was already too far gone into his road of evil to even be redeemed. The last thing that would happen to him was him sacrificing himself to save MePhone4 and the other contestants from their demise from Steve Cobs. He will surely be missed…
Baseball Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity

(2011)

Starter Large and in charge, Baseball tries his best to be the leader he truly is. During Season 2, he displays a personality that showed him as a trustworthy, courageous leader to his team, the Grand Slams. Besides this, he is usually laid-back, and also cares deeply for his alliance. He is known to be best friends with Nickel, with their friendship starting way back in Season 1. By the way, don't call him "fat". If you do, you'll surely regret it.
Nickel Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity

(2011)

Unlockable The Sarcasm Spasm in Inanimate Insanity. Renown for his personality, Nickel is a critical character who is also snarky, churlish, and ill-tempered. Due to being armless, he is unable to accomplish some things as easily as others, but he is usually determined to try his hardest. Nickel has also formed an alliance with some people, including Baseball, Suitcase, Balloon, and even Box. Although, his sarcastic personality does lead to issues among the other members, but he mainly keeps his friendship with Baseball. He also likes to mentor others about sarcasm, such as Knife. Although, there was some controversy involving him and another individual, due to many people misspelling his name as "Nick Le" rather than Nickel. There was even a competitor just like him who competes in another show: Battle for Dream Island, albeit with a different personality.
Suitcase Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity II

(2013)

Unlockable A kindhearted soul who tries to see the good in others. She first makes her appearance in the second season of Inanimate Insanity, and forms an alliance with Baseball and Nickel. Because of her timid personality, she is mainly vulnerable when it comes to others not caring of what she thinks. Not to mention, but she also suffers from hallucinations later on, leaving her frightened and vulnerable. In Season 2, after forming an alliance with Baseball and Nickel, she also forms a close friendship with Balloon, who shares a somewhat similar experience to her, as well as Knife, who she also decides to get to the finals alongside her. Speaking of, at the very end, she was ultimately the one to kill off Steve Cobs as she tricked him into thinking he got the Shimmer Egg, only for it to be a timed bomb that was soon set off right after Cobs realized his error.
Balloon Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity

(2011)

Starter As it shows, Balloon is very lightweight given that's what he is. In Season 1, Balloon was initially very manipulative and spiteful to the other contestants, but later in Season 2, he confirms he only had this personality as that's what he believes the game is all about. Still, despite trying his best to be nice, no one really likes him, except for Suitcase, who he would form a close friendship with later on. Later in Season 3, he starts to form a friendship with Nickel, although the two were initially on bad terms following the events of Season 2. Because of his namesake, he can float pretty well in the air, but he also falls pretty slowly, which often leads him to say his catchphrase: "Oh, come on!".
Knife Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity

(2011)

Starter The Jerk of Inanimate Insanity. As mentioned, Knife is mostly recognized as a huge jerk and enjoyed mocking others. He also liked to bully those like Paper and especially Marshmallow, who is often the victim of his torture. He is shown to have a soft side though, as he is shown to have a doll with him. He is also rivals with Trophy, who, even though Trophy claims they're both jocks or if he even feels like a jerk, he sees as a jock. In Season 2, he develops a dedication to getting far into the game. Upon making it to the finals alongside Suitcase, he fights against her in a final match, but after Toilet unplugs the Me wire, he and the rest get sent to inside MePhone4, as it was revealed they were all made by MePhone 4 later on. In the finale of Season 2, Knife makes his sacrifice upon seeing Marshmallow helpless from running, which also led to his redemption. Because of his sacrifice, he ends up becoming a ghost in the end, now stuck to the boundaries of the Purgatory Mansion for who knows how long.
Lightbulb Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity

(2011)

Starter A bright and an enthusiastic one. Lightbulb is greatly known for her goofy and ludicrous attitude, given that when she returned in Season 2, her character had completely changed from the clumsy and dizzy leader of Team Epic to a more comical, almighty, and influential chief and commander of the Bright Lights. She also tries her best to figure out strategies for her team, even coming up with some unexpected results to get the team to victory. Lightbulb also forms a close bond with Paintbrush during their time in Season 2. Despite making it to the final four, she then decided to value her connections over winning. She also notes that whenever she's depressed, she drinks. …As in soda, not what else you're thinking of. She even has a pet crab she befriended and named Baxter.

They also later formed a close friendship with Lightbulb, who is more quirky in nature compared to them. However, they are compassionate and loyal to others, ready to comfort others when they need it. Unlike the other contestants, Paintbrush is actually non-binary, after a lot of people had confused their gender during Season 1 and early Season 2.
Fan Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity II

(2013)

Starter A, well, fan of Inanimate Insanity. Fan is your typical blogger who likes to talk about the show he's in. In Season 1, he's merely a spectator, but graduated to a contestant following Season 2. Despite this, he's not really much of a competitor, mainly being more of a bystander since he's not really used to competing himself. Later on, he forms a strong friendship with another newbie in Season 2: Test Tube, as the two find something in common. At one point, Fan even discovers an egg while trying to save Marshmallow on Mars, and becomes very protective of it, only for it to later hatch and reveal its true identity. They later compete in Season 3 after both being eliminated in Season 2, but Fan didn't get quite far into the game as he was an early boot. Unlike the others, he decided not to stay on Indefinite Island, instead going back to Hotel OJ that was on Inanimate Island.
Test Tube Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity II

(2013)

She first appears as a competitor in Season 2, using her smart thinking to help out her teammates. It is during this time she also forms a strong friendship with Fan, as the two find something in common. Later competing in Season 3, she advances pretty far into the game, only to be eliminated sometime after. She later stays on Indefinite Island unlike Fan, and the two would return back to Inanimate Island to welcome back the Season 2 competitors for making it to the finals, only for things to turn for the worse.
Bot Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity Invitational

(2021)

Unlockable We all know what we were thinking back when first watching Inanimate Insanity Invitational: How is Bow alive?! Well, this wasn't exactly the case. Built by Fan and Test Tube, this fella used to be a robotic duplicate of Bow, a deceased contestant from Season 1. However, during the season's run, they would soon go on to form their own identity and appearance. They also formed a friendship with one of the Season 3 newbies, Goo, and together they became the Cheer Factory in order to cheer up those who felt down. They also became friends with two veterans, Balloon and Nickel, and the three of them formed the Loony Balloonies. Later during the season, they confronted the mascot of Springtastic Cereal, Springy, who wished to have Bot work for him as a mascot as well by using their likeness. However, Bot wasn't comfortable with this idea and instead stood up to him. Interestingly, as Bot was created by Fan and Test Tube, they are the only contestant not to be created by MePhone4, even being one of the only survivors of the purge following the second-to-final episode in Season 2. Where could they have been during this time?
Bow Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity

(2011)

Unlockable One of the original competitors in Season 1 as a mid-season debut. Bow was first introduced as a chair saleswoman, and has an obsession with them. Despite MePhone4's objections, she is later brought on the show as requested by Adam. She was a fan favourite during this time, and she would later get eliminated near the end. After she gets punched by the fist thingy, she ends up getting trapped in a metal box, which caused her to go insane due to the isolation and cramped space. During the finale of Season 1, she breaks free of her prison and goes on a rampage, only to temporarily snap out of it thanks to Marshmallow reminding her of chairs, which she claims is "so last year" as she is not interested in them anymore. She then meets her demise as she falls off a cliff at the same time as MePhone4 and MePhone5, getting caught in an explosion after the MePhones electrocute. She later makes a return as a ghost in Season 2, now stuck to the boundaries of the Purgatory Mansion. During this time, she grows a new obsession of her ghost tail. Sometime later, she is then shown seemingly alive and well in Season 3, but it is later revealed to be a robotic duplicate of her who would go on to grow their own personality and appearance. Whether the two would eventually meet has yet to be discovered.
Yin-Yang Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity II

(2013)

Unlockable This one is pretty unique, being two characters in one body. First, we have Yin, who is more nicer and friendlier in approach. Then, we have Yang, who is more chaotic and destructive. Yin-Yang make their first appearance in Season 2 as part of the Bright Lights. However, due to their quarrel, it doesn't help them much in challenges, which eventually led to their elimination. They would later return in Season 3, now a part of the Thinkers and eventually make it far into the merge. However, they would constantly be the top-voted to be safe during eliminations, to the point where MePhone4 had to cease that happening again because of this. Yin-Yang would even come to learn their differences during Season 3 thanks to the help of a newbie, Candle. Interestingly, in real life, Yin is actually the dark one, while Yang is the light one, so this was probably a mix-up if you think about it.
Taco Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity

(2011)

Unlockable Back during Season 1, Taco here was known for being a really silly girl, constantly saying phrases such as "SPRINKLES!", "CHICKEN LEG!", and her most popular phrase, "SOUR CREAM!". She was well-liked because of her personality back in Season 1, and this even helped her reached the finals alongside OJ. However, after losing to OJ in the finale, she soon reveals her true personality, being an evil, manipulative, and not to mention, British woman. After Season 1, she fled into the shadows, and would be rediscovered by a Season 2 newbie, Microphone. Together, they formed a team to help get Microphone further into the game, but also because Taco wishes to have some of the prize money herself. However, this teamwork would come to an end after Taco ends up pushing Microphone too far, causing her to lose her trust in Taco for a while. After this, she then tries to talk to Pickle, who she befriended in Season 1, to apologize for her actions, only for Pickle to soon go limp as his face and limbs vanish, much to Taco's horror. After everyone gets restored in the finale, Taco will still have to wait for Pickle to trust her again, but at least Microphone is still there for her in the end, stating that next time they work together, they shouldn't do it in secret.
Box Inanimate Insanity Inanimate Insanity II

(2013)

Unlockable Perhaps one of the most shocking things to come out of Inanimate Insanity is the reveal of Box. Box was first introduced in Season 2 as a literal inanimate object unlike the rest. Due to this, Box never really did anything in challenges, which led to an early elimination after a few episodes. Box even got to join Season 3, but had to be medically evacuated later on due to an accident. After the Me device was unplugged, everyone was soon brought into a new area known as the MeAfterLife. After Suitcase swam through the water and up to the surface, she managed to help a familiar object. And to her shock, she would discover that Box was actually alive this entire time! And another amusingly reveal, Box is actually female, despite everyone going with the masculine pronouns before this reveal. As revealed in her past, before Inanimate Insanity even started, she used to be one of those who got an interview to be in the show, gaining an interview from MePhone4. MePhone4 said to her that he would give her a notification if anything pops up. However, Box hadn't received any information from him for about a month. She then decided to confront MePhone4 to talk to him about this, only for her to meet a bunch of other boxes like her waiting in line. This made her realize that having this big of a competition would make her feel overwhelmed, and that's when she knew that she didn't want to play. However, she then meets her demise as she trips over a rock and falls down a cliff into a river, drowning soon after. Despite MePhone4 attempting to save her later on, she would remain as a lifeless corpse throughout the entire show's run until after the events of the finale of Season 2. With her now gaining a second chance at life, it seems Box herself has a new journey ahead of her.
