Since defeating Ganon in the future and returning the Master Sword to the pedestal of time, Link has lived a successful childhood. Two years later, Link is on vacation in search of Navi while riding his horse in the woods, but two fairies, Tatl and Tael knock Link off his horse, allowing a Skull Kid wearing a mysterious mask to steal the Ocarina of Time. The Skull Kid also steals Epona and flees to an unknown world. Link ends up in a mysterious land known as Termina. He must explore the swamp, mountain, ocean, and canyon to awaken the Four Giants, but he has only three days to do it.
