The Universal Game Odyssey 2 is a video game console manufactured by Universal Interactive Entertainment. It can play PlayStation games, Universal Game Odyssey 2 games, audio and music CDs, and DVDs to movies and TV shows. It was the first successor system for the Universal Game Odyssey systems. The UGO2 has one of the longest continuation dates for a console (March 4, 2000 - January 4, 2013). The Universal Game Odyssey 3 is the UGO2's successor. The best selling game for the Universal Game Odyssey 2 was Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with a total 17.33 million copies sold (as of February 2009). The UGO2 has the largest amount of sales for a video game console. The Universal Game Odyssey 2 was backwards compatible with Universal Game Odyssey 1 games. The PlayStation 2 has had the most units sold in the whole Universal Game Odyssey series, with about 160 million units sold!
Lifespan[]
The UGO2 is the longest lasting console of all time. Over 2,000 games have been released for the system. Its games went on to make it the best selling console of all time. The Universal Game Odyssey 2 sold 100,000 consoles on its first day.
Slimline[]
The UGO2 Slimline is a redesign model of the Universal Game Odyssey 2. The size between the original model and the Slimline model are very noticeable. It's Decreased size comes from moving the power supply to the plug. In later models, this was added back into the console, without sacrificing slim size.
